Help Wanted: USS Liberty FOIA Attorney

The National Security Agency has a habit of claiming they have posted all USS Liberty related documents in their files on their webpage, waiting a few years and posting more USS Liberty related documents on their website and claim they have posted all USS Liberty related information in their files on their website, waiting a few years and posting more USS Liberty related documents on their website and claim they have posted all USS Liberty related information in their files on their website, etc., ad nauseum.

Now there’s a file they didn’t intend on posting.  But they did.

Station Has Voice Tapes” So says a document the National Security Agency has posted on its website. They didn’t want to – but we insisted.
“On 08 June 2007, the National Security Agency (NSA) finalized the review of all material relative to the 08 June 1967 attack on the USS Liberty. This additional release adds to the collection of documents and audio recordings and transcripts previously posted to the site on 02 July 2003.”  From the NSA Website.
Their June 8, 2007, release of USS Liberty documents didn’t include the “Station Has Voice Tapes” message. That document had been in our possession for many years prior to the 40th anniversary of the attack release of USS Liberty documents. I informed the NSA that their release didn’t include the “Station Has Voice Tapes” message and I included a copy of that message in my email. They posted it on their website. That was followed immediately by an FOIA request for the voice tapes referenced in the message or, if the voice tapes had been destroyed, a copy of the documentation authorizing the destruction of the voice tapes. Their response was the “no relevant documents” reply we are so used to receiving.  Subsequent FOIA requests received the “no relevant documents” reply until one day I was told that any further FOIA requests from me would be discarded out of hand. We don’t know what is on those tapes but we want to.  To our knowledge, nobody on the Revisionist side of the equation has pursued a release of the tapes in the legal arena. We’re looking for an attorney who is interested in helping ensure the release of the NSA tapes. It is not necessary that you coordinate your efforts with us.  Simply that you make the effort and share the tapes with us and the rest of the American people.  If you do want to share your efforts with us, you can contact us at [email protected].
